Nick Scholte began his career as an Investment Advisor with RBC in 1998. He immediately found a niche helping and advising higher-net-worth families, many of whom built their wealth in Vancouver's then budding technology sector. In the years since, Nick has grown the Scholte Wealth Management practice to include a more diverse array of clientele, with an equally diverse range of needs. However, common to all of our clients is a desire to be consistently communicated with in a clear and honest fashion. How Nick achieves this can be readily found by exploring other areas of this site - particularly Our Practice, Our Philosophy and Our Blog.
Nick has achieved the industry leading designations of Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) and Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI), as well as the title of Senior Portfolio Manager at RBC Dominion Securities. In addition, Nick has also completed advanced industry courses such as Investment Management Techniques (IMT), Portfolio Management Techniques (PMT) and the Canadian Options Licensing course.
Nick is happily married to his wife Vanessa, who hails from Mexico, and they have two young children together. Nick also has two older boys. Outside of work, Nick spends much of his time ferrying his young children to a widely diverse range of activities. When there is time for himself, Nick loves to watch - and sometimes play - sports, hike and travel. He harbors a secret desire to read more for pleasure, and at home has collected a mini-library of classic books, some of which he has actually read, but most of which await a quieter time in life to open. He also enjoys well-directed and acted movies - particularly dramas - and perhaps because of this, is an active supporter of his young daughter's budding acting career.
